These terms apply to quotations, bookings and work carried out by DH Joinery & Carpentry. Please read them alongside any written quote we provide, which together form our agreement with you.
1. Quotes
Quotes are free and valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. They are based on the information and access available at the time of survey. If the scope or site conditions change, we will discuss and agree any revised cost with you before continuing.
2. Bookings & deposits
A booking is confirmed once a date is agreed. For bespoke work we may request a deposit to cover materials; this will be stated in your quote. The balance is due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Materials & variations
Bespoke items are made to the agreed specification. Natural materials such as timber vary in grain and tone. Changes you request after work has begun may affect the price and timescale, which we will confirm before proceeding.
4. Access & site
You agree to provide safe, reasonable access to the work area and, where relevant, power and facilities. Delays caused by access, other trades or site conditions outside our control may affect the schedule.
5. Workmanship & guarantee
We take pride in our work and stand behind it. If any fault in our workmanship appears within a reasonable period, we will put it right. This does not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, or work altered by others.
6. Liability
We are fully insured. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out.
7. Cancellation
If you need to cancel, please tell us as soon as possible. Where we have already incurred costs for bespoke materials, these may be chargeable.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
